oh man, oh man...where do I start???

Goodness, I thought that being out for the summer would make it easier to blog and keep up with my growing boy...but guess not! So much has happened since I last blogged. This will be a long one:

Anthony is almost 6 months old. He will be turning 6 months on Friday, June 11th. He is just getting so big and starting to do soooo much! I am so blessed that I get to stay home with him this summer. Right now he is sitting up without help. He does fall over now and then so you have to sit with him. Also, he loves tummy time now because he's wanting to crawl. Maybe he'll be doing that by the end of the summer. He gets up on all fours and and gets in the push up position. What a big boy. Oh, and he doesn't just yell anymore when he talks, he actually has conversations with me and Robby. He says "da da da da da" and "bla, da, ga, da, bla" He is getting those consonants down. I've been working on "ma ma" but he is not ready for that one. Then he waits and lets us talk back and then it's his turn again. Here are some pictures of all his new tricks.

Last weekend Anthony went to his 3rd birthday party...he has lots of friends already. Our friends, Aric and Lindsay, have twins girls who turned 2. So we went to party with them.
Daddy let me wear his hat

After the birthday party we went to Fun Fest in Texas City to see Robby's parents. His dad is on a cook-off team. The food was delicious. Here is Grandpa and Anthony and Grandma Cici and Anthony.

A couple weeks ago we went to Dallas to visit. While we were up there we hung out with Ruth and Tim (friends of mine that got married in April. I was in the wedding and by-the-way, as soon as Ruth sends me the CD of our pictures taken at the wedding I will post them...they are amazing). Thanks to LeeAnn, my photographer. She did Ruths wedding also. But on our way up there we stopped at the new Buc-ees in Madisonville. This place is huge. We are "beaver believers" so we had to stop and check it out. We were in there for about 45 min. I got Anthony a little stuffed Buc-ee beaver. And took his picture next to the big statue of Buc-ee himself.

My friend that I graduated with from college is expecting this month, so we stopped by to see her. Thanks Melissa for having us over. And good luck with the new member of your family.

I thought this was cute. Robby always gives Anthony the last bottle of the day. And this is how it ends each and every night. I usually have to wake Rob up to go to bed.

Friday my mom is coming for about 4 days. I think we are taking Anthony to have his 6 month pictures taken while she is here.
Enjoy,

5 Months Old

5 months

Well, Anthony is already 5 months old. He is doing so much now. It is amazing how much he's grown. He still loves his feet, but hasn't tried to eat them yet. Could be because he's a chunky-monkey!!! He loves his cereal and his vegetables. We started with peas and he liked them, then we went to green beans (the faces are so funny) and he liked those too. He talks A LOT! Sometimes even at 3 a.m. We just leave him in the bed to talk to himself until he falls asleep (on those nights he doesn't get up til 7 or 7:30).

I love you too, Brady!

Hanging with my dogs

He is such a big boy and doesn't like his swing any more. He is ready for bigger and better things. So daddy had to get up into the attic to get his Einstein activity bouncer down. He loves it!!! He bounces and holds his body up pretty good. But it's so funny because he wants to put the toys that are on the bouncer in his month but he can't because they are attached and so he gets really ticked...you should hear him get mad (sounds like he's pooping).
I want that FROG!!! In my mouth!!!

Summer is almost here!!! I can't wait to be home with Anthony all summer. There are only 13 more days of school. I am no longer a 1st grade teacher...Yay!!! I have been wanting to get out of the classroom for a couple years now and do something different. I applied for a Reading Recovery position for the district and got it. I will have to leave my school and move to another school. I will REALLY miss my school, but am very excited about my new job. I will still be working with 1st grade for the most part...but won't have to worry about all the grades, 22 parents, 22 library books not being returned, sub plans and the list goes and goes forever. There will be a whole new kind of stress though.

This weekend Anthony experienced a couple new adventures. He went swimming for the first time and swung in a big boy swing. He had a good time. Saturday we went to Bella's 1st birthday party at my friends house (Emily-her link is on my blog, Richard's Reflections). It truely was the most perfect birthday party for a one year old. It was completely centered around all the babies. Usually it seems like 1st birthday's are more of a party for all the adults...this was not! I just loved the swimming pools set up. The babies had such a good time. Thanks Emily for having us.

I made some new friends

Aren't I cute?

Well, enjoy the pictures. He will be going for his 6 month checkup the second week in June. I can't wait to see how much our chunky-monkey weighs.

Got Milk???

Well, we have finally started Anthony on cereal. We started last week. He is so funny eating his cereal. Robby took many pictures while I feed him for the first time. Guess we'll start him on vegetables in about a week or so.
GOT MILK ???

KEEP IT COMING!

YUM YUM

What do I love better...my feet or the food?

This past weekend Robby's mom, Cindy, took Anthony to his house to spend the night. This was the first time he has ever been away from us. She came to pick him up Friday after work and kept him until we got there Saturday afternoon. We missed him and called a few times to check on him. He was such a good little boy. This gave us time to do LOTS of house work, mow the yard, laundry, etc. We even went on a date Friday night to Carrabas and Main event. It was a lot of fun, just us two...it was like old times again! Saturday we went to a friend of ours son's 5th birthday party. This was Anthony's first birthday party. He was too cute in his sunhat and sunglasses.

4 months old

A lot has happened since I last blogged. Most importantly...our baby boy has turned 4 months old (that was on April 11th) almost two weeks ago. Here are some really cute shots I got of him next to his teddy. He sure has passed up his teddy in height and weight I believe! On his 4 month visit he weighed 15.5 pounds and was 24" in length. Anthony was exactly the 50th percentile in his height, weight, and head measurements. 50% across the board!!! Way to go lil A...we knew you would catch up! Doc said that he looked wonderful and mentioned starting him on cereal and then in a couple weeks vegetables...WOW- it shocked me when she said that. I wasn't ready for him to grow up so fast. She said we would feed him with a spoon. That should be fun...can't wait to post those pics :) What a ham! 4 months old...look at me!!!! Another very important event that happened was on Easter Sunday. Anthony was baptized! He became our little Catholic Christain. He was so good in church too. He sleep most of the time (because we timed it just right with his bottle) then as Father poured the water over his head and announced him he opened his eyes and looked at everyone...then went back to sleep. What a good little boy. His godmother is Robby's sister (Aunt Michelle)and godfather is Robby's bestfriend (Sammy). My parents came and stayed the weekend. It was a long weekend with lots of family fun...Friday night we had a fish fry at my house...Saturday night we had a crawfish boil at Aunt Janets house...and then Sunday was the baptism. Godmother "Aunt Michi" Norma's Cupcake Cake...Yummy!!!! The Family at the baptism Grandma Cici gave Anthony some bunny ears Hangin with my two papas Our little Family Father Tom and the Godparents Sat night at the crawfish boil...Grandma Cici even got me a stuffed crawfish Grandma Cici and Grandpa My momma and me This is my Uncle Mat. He's a "fun guy" The Family over for fish Emily edited some of the bluebonnet pics...here is one that was really cute! Yes, mommy took me to see the Easter bunny Daddy is already teaching me how to drive Anthony was blessed with TONS of Easter and Baptism gifts...Thank you to all who made his weekend so perfect. We are ready for summer. Anthony got his first swimsuit, a beach towel, hat, flip flops, sunscreen, even a blow-up pool. These are memories we will never forget. There is one last thing I want you to watch. We are going to have a thumb sucker on our hands!!! I took this video on the way home from Dallas this weekend.

Ok...never mind. I tried to upload a video of Anthony sucking his thumb but it seriously took 3 hours and still had not finished uploading, so I cancelled it. I will try another time.

BLUEBONNETS

Tonight we met Emily, Terry, and Bella for pictures in the bluebonnets. We had a great time. Anthony fell asleep on the way there so we weren't sure how the event would turn out, but he did pretty good. It was so funny to see him try and sit up. We took to Bumbo to sit him in and thank God we did...cause it worked pretty good. I took a few on my camera, but Emily took the family shots and will send those to me this week sometime so I'll post them when I get them. I hope those turned out ok. She has really gotten into photography and used us as practice :) Good for us!!!

My brother gave me an awesome camera so I practiced on some close-ups.

Anthony is growing up too fast. He will be turning 4 months old this next weekend. He is sleeping through the night. We usually feed and put him down in the 9 pm hour and he doesn't wake up til 6ish in the morning. That is about 9 hours straight without waking. It is soooo nice for us to get some good sleep. He is growing out of all his 3 month clothes. We bought him 6 month nighties this weekend and they fit him. I can't believe it. You hold the 6 month clothes up in the air at the store and think "there's NO way this will fit him" but it does! Note to Grandma's...only buy 6 months clothes right now. Well, with the books I'm reading it seems like he is suppose to be batting a toys, have his head completely stable, and holding and shaking rattles. However, he is doing none of these. His head is still a little bobbly...he holds it still for a while then all of a sudden BAM, it falls forward. He does grab on and shake a rattle, but only when we make him. I guess he is just a little behind "the books", but he is learning so much. You should see him scoot around in his crib, and hold his head up high during tummy time. He also likes to look at himself in the mirror when dad is putting lotion on his back. He is just a joy to have and we are cherishing every single moment. We got a camcorder and have been filming as well. That will be fun to look back at one day and see him as an infant. He goes for his 4 month checkup and shots next week, will have his 2nd crawfish boil, and will be baptized on Easter Sunday...so we have a lot going on this week. Look for another posting next weekend.

Enjoy,
