1 Year Checkup

Well, Thursday Anthony went for his 1 year checkup. He weighed 23 lbs & 11 oz. What a big boy! He was in the 60% in weight, and 50% in height. Doc said he looked great. Said that we could start on whole milk. He's been drinking soy formula for months so I was worried about switching straight to whole milk, but we gave it to him all day today, and so far so good! He had to get 4 shots, two in each leg...poor baby! After the doctors office, we took Anthony to see Santa at the mall but it was going to be about a 2 hour wait so we decided to leave. We are going to try again on Tuesday I think.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!
I will post Christmas pictures next weekend,
can't wait for Santa to come!!

Merry Christmas

I'M ONE

Yes, that's right, my little boy is ONE! WOW, it really did go by fast. I can't believe that Anthony's party has come and gone. We had a great party. Many friends and family were there. Anthony had lots of fun in the bouncer, opening presents, and eating his cake. Robby and his buddy smoked brisket and ribs...they were delicious.

-THE GOOD LORD

We went to Dallas again for Thanksgiving to visit my family. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner. My brother and his two girls and son came over. My aunt and uncle and cousins came as well...so we had a full house. Anthony had turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll. He seemed to like it very much.

Tanner, my favorite nephew!

I don't usually go shopping on black friday but I had left my phone at the Childrens place the day before Thanksgiving and convinced Robby that he needed to go with me to get it at 6:30 am on black friday...and of course we stayed out shopping til about noon!!! I really didn't plan that but Robby thought we might as well knock out as much as we could.

My niece, Sierra, turned into a teenager the day of Thanksgiving...THE BIG 13! Happy Birthday Sierra!

After all that shopping Rob and I did on Friday, we met my brother and his kidos for family pictures. I've gotten them back already...and as always AWESOME...enjoy...

...or not...I can't get my pictures to upload for some reason. I'll try again tomorrow.

Good night!

11 MONTHS OLD

I can't believe my baby boy is about to be a year old! It really has gone by fast...like everyone says. I am so thankful for my little boy. I thank God every day for a healthy son. It's has a long and lonely fall (being a single mom and a football widow). But it is finally over! I am happy and sad at the same time. Happy to have my husband back but sad to see the season over, only making it to the first round of playoffs! Rob leaves at 5:30 am every morning and got home about 8 pm (Anthony already asleep most nights) during the football season. So I was basically a single parent for 4 months. And I will admit...it wasn't easy.

Anthony is getting so big. His favorite thing is bath time. He loves to walk behind his toy-walkers. I am just waiting for the day he takes his first step. He's so good at walking (like it's nothing) using his walkers, but hasn't tried to take that first step. He does let go and stand up to balance but then falls to his bottom. His favorite toy is a toss up between the remote control or Brady and Holly's bones...imagine that! For his birthday you might consider buying something for yourself and giving him the box :)

Next week we are having family photos. I can't wait to post those pictures, I already know they will be fabulous because of LeeAnn (the best photographer ever!) She can make poopoo look pretty! We also have a HUGE party coming up on Dec 12th for Anthony's 1st birthday (I think there are a little over 100 people invited...YIKES) But half of those people are family. It should be lots of fun. All of Anthony's friends are invited and mommy and daddy's friends too.

11 months pictures...
Sorry about the blurry pictures, my camera moved to a different setting...I'm not sure what happened!

Anthony loves playing with the dog bowls...he actually took the black rubber off the bowl and put it around his head. It's amazing what they can get done in the 30 seconds you walk out of the room!

Happy Halloween

We went to Dallas for Halloween. It was a lot of fun. My mom and I took Anthony and my niece around the neighborhood to trick-or-treak. I actually dressed up myself as a kitty cat. Anthony was a little duckling...so cute! He had fun (I think :) Although he didn't make it to the second street before he fell asleep. It was a lot of fun dressing him up and taking pictures. Daddy didn't get to go because he had a football game Halloween night.

My Little HANDSOME Pumpkin!!!

Today we took our little pumpkin to see all the other pumpkins at the pumpkin patch here in Alvin...he had a great time. Is he not just the cutest thing you've ever seen? I'm his mama so I get to say that!!! The pictures turned out amazing...we went at the perfect picture time...so no sun to worry about.

I THINK THIS IS MY FAVORITE

My sister and brother n law came in town to visit with Anthony and see one of Robby's games. We had a great time! Saturday morning when Anthony woke up he started crying and didn't stop for hours. There was nothing anyone could do to make him feel better, so my mother n law and I loaded the car and headed to the UTMB Emergency Clinic around 11 am, and good thing we did. Anthony's left ear was very bad...YES another ear infection. He had a blister on the eardrum. They gave him a dose of Motrin and a shot of antibiotics...you wouldn't believe how much better he was in 30 mintues...that Motrin worked miracles. He started playing peek-a-boo with Grandma Cici on the way home...WOW, what a different child. He has had a smile on his face ever since! I know this sounds like I'm a bad mom, but we actually took him to the very end of Robby's football game on Saturday. He was feeling so much better and laughing and playing. We got there and the game was over! But at least Anthony got to see his daddy for a minute.
