Long Time No Blog...

Ok, it's been way too long since I've last blogged! So here is the lastest...for the past couple weeks Anthony's been sick. It all started a couple Fridays ago when Robby decided to take me on a date (movie and dinner). So we had his Aunt Janet, his Mimi and his Mom come over to play with A while we went out. We were enjoying our dinner when we got a phone call from Robby's Mom telling us that Anthony threw up...so of course we headed home. So much for date night!!! But at least we tried. By the time we got home he had thrown up 3 times and then again at 2 am in the morning. He continued with the belly ache and developed a pretty bad cough for a few days. We took him to the doctor but they found nothing wrong...frustrating...but good I guess! So he is finally feeling better and Robby and I took him down to his grandparents to spend the night Saturday night...so we finally got date night after all! We went to Carrabba's (Hayley: I saw your mom and dad and chatted with them for a bit) and then to see Dear John which was OK, the book is better of course!

This past weekend we went to see some friends of ours and Anthony got to play with their son who also just turned one. They played together for a while.

Tonight was Anthony's first bubble bath:

This Friday is Anthony's valentine's party at daycare. They are all exchanging Valentine's...HOW CUTE IS THAT! We bought stuffed animals for all his classmates and football valentine cards. I would love to go over to daycare for a few minutes to see the party and take pictures...hopefully I can get away from work for a while to see his 1st Valentine's party :)

Thank you, Santa!

Dear Santa,

Thank you for my radio flyer wagon...I LOVE IT. Mommy and daddy take me for walks around the block and it's so much fun! I laugh when they take me off-road through the grass! Here are some pictures of me in my wagon. I love you Santa.

Love, Anthony

Momma's New Ride

Ok, here is a picture of my new ride, Yukon XL. I absolutely LOVE it. I think Anthony likes it too b/c he smiled and laughed a lot this morning on our way to daycare. He was pointing at everything...makes you wonder if they really know that something is different! My favorite is the bucket seats...I've been wanting those...so much easier to get around in the car when you're on a trip! This picture was taken at the dealership. I need to take better pictures in the light!

He's WALKING

That's right...Monday morning Anthony took his first REAL step. He did it about 5 times (only one step each time). I was soooo excited (mainly b/c I got to see his first step!) Then when I went to pick him up at daycare that afternoon he had taken 7 steps without falling...WOW. I was so happy and couldn't wait to get that bogger bear home to watch him walk, but wouldn't you know...Anthony wasn't in a good mood that evening and wanted to be held the whole night...so NO walking :(

Robby and I have been car shopping since before Christmas (it's time to retire the 1997 Avenger) so Tuesday night we had to get a baby sitter to watch A so we could drive to the Northside of Houston to look at this Yukon XL...so didn't get to watch Anthony walk again. Then Wednesday we decided to buy the car so we had to get another babysitter and head back to get the car...so didn't get to see him walk AGAIN!!! I'm glad that the car shopping is over and I can play with my little boy tonight. He does walk some in the morning ... but daycare says he walks A LOT. I'm so proud of my little boy. I thought he'd walk a lot sooner...but I knew he would do it when he was good and ready!

Most of you know (from years ago) that we had to do IVF to get Anthony. Well, I've been waiting for another IVF study to come around again, and there might be one in June...so please say a prayer for us that we will be blessed with another little miracle soon!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

A few days after Christmas we got in the car and headed to Dallas to visit my family and do Christmas with them. While we were there we got to enjoy some snow. Anthony and I played in it for just a short time. The dogs had fun too.

"ok, that is COLD!"

Our little family

Anthony has worn this hat just about everyday this winter...he is too cute!

Santa came!!!

Santa came to visit Anthony at Grandma Cici's and G-Bob's (grandpa Bobby). That is where we stayed on Christmas Eve night. Robby's sister and husband were there too. We had a great time being together.

Santa brought Anthony an awesome Radio Flyer wagon. He loved it and just had so much fun sitting in it and playing. He also enjoyed playing with the handle. He got many toys and lots of clothes too. Daddy and mommy got lots of nice things too. Robby got me a big digital frame that I can download pictures on. I LOVE IT!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa DeSanto's house. They have a HUGE family, there are 27 of us! We had a great time, and of course Anthony received more wonderful gifts. We stayed up til Santa came. He comes every year with a big red sack of gifts for all the little kids. But he doesn't come til about 11 or 11:30 pm so it's a late night...but lots of fun! Anthony didn't make it to see Santa!

4 generations

Ok, getting your child's picture taken with Santa is not so easy. I actually tried 4 times and either the line was too long or Santa was taking his dinner break! It was horrible...so I missed Santa this year. However when Santa came to visit us on Christmas Eve night, I placed my sleeping baby in his arms and took a picture. It should be a funny story one day when he's older!
