Vacationing in Corpus

The first weekend of summer we got in the car and headed to Corpus for a little get away. We had a lot of fun. We went to the Texas State Aquarium on Saturday. Anthony had a great time seeing the turtles, dolphins, and other animals. My favorite was the dolphins...they were awesome...and BIG. One of the dolphins was 17 years old and 450 lbs.

After we left the aquarium we walked around the marina and went home (b/c we had a baby to get to bed)

Oh come on...you know you like Mama's kisses!
This face look familiar?...and yes his hand is pointing to his butt...and he is saying "poopoo". He likes to tell us when he poops.
Close up!

The next morning we woke up early so we could get a good spot at the beach and rent an umbrella, etc. But we ended up being almost the only ones there. It was a little beach and as filthy as could be. We actually set up in a kinda-good spot then packed up to leave to go to the other beach, but asked a local who was jogging by if the other beach was ok and she suggested we stayed...so we unpacked again and stayed for a couple hours. It was cloudy, until we left...then the sun started to peek through. But Anthony had fun and that is all that matters! He just loved playing and digging in the sand. He and his daddy made sandcastles.

Back to the hotel to clean up, nap, and then for a swim in the hotel pool (since the sun came out)

That evening we went to the Hooks game. It was by-far the best and most fun event we did the whole vacation. The San Diego chicken was there and was so funny...he had everyone laughing.

The next morning we packed up, checked out, and went to see the USS lexington before we drove back. The USS Lexington was pretty neat (but kinda a guy thing)...I'm not a big history person at all! But Robby enjoyed it. We didn't get to see the whole thing b/c Anthony couldn't make it and we needed to feed him and let him nap.
I was a little paniced when Robby took Anthony out on this walkway

We had a lot of fun on our first little family vacation.
